Saturday Social Ride (Free) RSVP

Hi, my name is John Montez and I am the beginner group road ride leader for the North Chandler Saturday Social ride. This ride will be a great beginner ride for everyone that has never on a group ride and those of you that can ride a little further but not quite as fast. We are going to average about 15-17MPH

This is a 4 week progressive ride we will start at 10 miles the first week and then 15, 20, 25 miles, then we will start all over again, we may go a little longer, if the route dictates, you can do it, we all will help you!

During your time with us, you should be able to gain confidence, strength, and endurance all in a social setting, we all pull, and look out for each other. After the ride, we will meet at the shop for a little recovery snack.

Early Morning MTB Ride (Free) RSVP

This is a weekly early morning (before the birds and the rest of Arizona wake up) MTB ride!

Meetup with Kevin L. and/or Pete P. at our Ahwatukee Shop (Ray Rd. west of 48th - 480-706-0858) and ride to Desert Classic Trail at South Mountain.

See calander for ride times as they do change from time to time....

The ride is open to intermediate and advanced skilled riders. The ride will average 15 miles depending on who shows up, who’s been eating their Wheaties, and weekly route. We’ll try to keep the group together as much as possible, but we’ll decide on a couple of meeting spots because sometimes you get caught up daydreaming about rearranging your sock drawer and other times you want to ride like Tinker.

Sunday Service Ride (Free) RSVP

This ride was designed for the intermediate cyclist, who want to  improve fitness, and prepare for longer distances. In this ride, you will apply the skills that you learned as a beginner, and improve on your basic group riding skills.  If you are not familiar with group riding etiquette, please refer to our beginning ride offerings.

Our goal is to lessen group ride intimidation, by providing a friendly, non ego environment, where you can get feedback, and tips from other experienced riders.

Rides start and end at the Gilbert shop on the NE corner of Gilbert and Guadalupe.

ALL without the worry of being dropped or unable to manage a flat.

Along the way, we will discuss:

• What you need to ride with
• Roadside repairs (spare tube/s, inflation device, &  tire levers at a minimum)
• Nutrition for longer rides
• Hydration for the summer
• shifting
• climbing hills
• group ride etiquette
• and much more

This ride is perfect for you if:

• Have been off the bike for awhile
• New to the sport
• Afraid of spandex :)
• Not sure if you have the right bike... EVERY bike is welcome!
• If you want to learn how to ride in a group.

Gilbert Beginner Ride (Free) RSVP

We will restart again at 10 miles at a nice easy  pace.

Everyone is invited and all bikes are welcome!  However, if you feel that you can not safely participate in this event... Please wait until you are ready.
